they said the computers were as big as a room and there were many and you put in cards.. i never was part of that so cannot confirm but some of the kids in my class after hi school did that.

And that was my ONLY computer until my 3rd year at university! 😂 (and that was a handful of terminals at the uni computer lab attached to a mainframe somewhere!)
My 1st home PC had no graphical OS. 80 Meg hard drive, 2 Meg RAM, dot-matrix printer, external 14.4 modem, (actual) floppy drive, no cd-rom. Haha I thought I was in the big leagues! 😳
Oh, wait! I actually had a Commodore before that one. Loved my text games! (Similar to Oregon Trail, but no grafx)
