Convicted fraudster Devon Archer, (devondarcher) 50, and Hunter, who was found guilty of gun charges today, co-founded an investment firm in 2008.
The pair controversially went on to serve together on the board of Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma in 2014.
Earlier this week a judge ordered Archer to be re-sentenced in August for a bond fraud scheme.
He was previously convicted along with other Hunter associates over the scam, which stole $43 million and left a Native American tribe $60 million in debt.
