Heard that after the Holocaust, many Nazi scientists were relocated to the US, but didn't know it was Nixon in charge of relocating them.
I find it interesting that the US gov't seems to stab in the back, those they supported initially.
Think of Sadam, the US put him in power then Bush used BS weapons of mass destruction excuse to take him out...see movie: Shock and Awe
Also Israel. The US partnered with Israel to cyber attack Iraq's nuclear hardware. Now the US sems to be turning its back on Israel w/ Hamas.
Movie: Zero Days: A documentary focused on Stuxnet, a piece of self-replicating computer malware that the U.S. and Israel unleashed to destroy a key part of an Iranian nuclear facility, and which ultimately spread beyond its intended target.
