As things ramp up and we have fastened our seatbelts, Jesus reminds us to keep our eyes on HIM in the turbulence and storm. Let the winds blow and remain secure in His promise. I’m doing a refresh on Psalm 23 and reading this book in which each verse is supported with insight and detail by this former shepherd.

“ the strange thing about sheep is that because of their very make up, it is almost impossible for them to be made to lie down, unless four requirements are met owing to their timidity, they refuse to lie down, unless they are free of all fear….”

the four requirements are: free of fear, free of friction among themselves, free of parasites and free of hunger. wow!! how timely. What a reminder that Jesus is our personal shepherd.

Psalm 23 paired with this enriching account, is a comforting read if you need something to help better focus on Jesus in the storm.
