Tomorrow, Tuesday, it will be 25 years since the Czech Republic joined the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) in March 1999. It will not be the first time that the former head of the USA is in the Czech Republic. Clinton visited it as early as 1970 as a student.

After his arrival, the 42nd President of the United States of America, Bill Clinton, headed to Prague Castle, where he was welcomed by then-President Václav Havel. They talked privately for about a quarter of an hour, later the former Prime Minister Václav Klaus, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Josef Zieleniec and the Minister of Defense Antonín Baudyš joined them. In the evening, Madeleine Albright, the United States ambassador to the United Nations and a native of the Czech Republic, arrived.
