Why Are You Cast Down?

Psalm 42:11 says: “Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God.” Have you been asking yourself why you’re so down? It could be that you've received an evil report about yourself, or the Lord is calling you to something you have been unwilling to consider. Another cause of spiritual despair is that you've been drifting away from God. While you drift, He begins to create a thirst in you to draw you back to Himself again. The Lord is calling us to a place of maturity. It's time to enter back into the work of Christ, which is the saving of the lost. Our joy will come when we rejoice with the angels over every soul that repents and comes to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
It's time to pray.
