Interesting - Yamato is very close to where I live and that is the same area where I see buildings with the Torii 's. I mean why would a dentist office be in a Japanese style building?- Many of the entrances to condos/apartments have the Torii Bridge at the entry. I will have to look on Google Earth and see if I can find anything else. Flagler is a main name here - and buildings are named after him. My step Daughter goes to Flagler College in St Augustine. St. Augustine Florida is another place where there is a lot of hidden history - I believe to be one of the oldest places in Florida. Mizner is another name that is seen throughout the Boca area.... now my interest is PEAKED.... will let you know if I find anything.

I found some more interesting articles (old ones) from the Historical Society in Boca on the Japanese people who came here. Here is a photo of the Dentist office near Yamato - its in the Japanese style and near that is a Torii Gate to a apartment complex. Other sightings in Florida are seen upon entry to beach.

Whether it's because you have Japanese ancestors or because Japanese people lived there during the war, I think it's a place that has some ties to Japan. It's a beautiful and wonderful place.
