Got word from a friend of ours. The big fire that started around Stinnett Texas started by a power line that broke. She saw it when it happened. Called it in right straight and the fire department didn’t come another guy called it in and still took the fire department awhile to come. Another fire started up a bit later on the same ranch and put that out themselves as a fire department from Dallas tried to block their way to get into the fire. That fire department came to the fire after the ranchers had gotten it under control. Their excuse was that they were told to just protect the houses.
A fast response would have saved so much for so many.

That fire dept from Dallas can be sued for negligence.

There was friend in Oklahoma that was trying to help his neighbor control his house fire during this deal. The eaves were on fire. All they had was a garden hose. Two hours later the fire department showed up and the house was engulfed. He got some of his pets out. That was all.
Another lady had to borrow clothes to go to work.
