I have “escorted” both ways. gag gags is the type you use to:
- stready and retain contril with a frail person that has the majority of mobility left but is still capable of a fall (but not for ceremonial use).
-move a person from location to location as a guide as such “they dont get away”. either shackled or unshakled.

I didnt serve. Did a short stint in law enforcement (wasnt for me) but I have assisted when asked. and still will again.
