When I look at the political landscape and keep in mind what Juan has said about a NDE for America, even tho I believe we make it thro it, I coonsider what might cause Americans to momentarily feel all is lost.
Given the political atmosphere, that might be something that takes on the appearance that Trump has been taken out of the picture some how for some reason.
I don't think he will be but appearances sometimes prompt moves and countermoves.

The United States rejoined the Paris Agreement in 2021. Starting January 2023 the first US states adopted the energy code 'recommendations' for construction by the Dept of Energy. (NetZero by 2050)
The new energy codes are forcing home owners and small contractors to cheat to circumvent permits, resulting in possibly substandard construction. No one is talking abt this.
The new codes will result in future rental housing shortages as landlords find themselves in this code war with common sense. Btw this war on housing is fully supported by the insurance industry.

The UN's report card fell short of their climate goals, prolly partially due to the 4 year pause ;) and the very few common sense people left.
The UN created 'accelerants' to push their agenda along. Insurance cos are one of the 'accelerants'. Another are incentive $$ to municipalities to help the climate mafia.
I found one payout of $15,000 to one town, a pittance in comparison to the destructive and traumatizing blow to property owners.

I fought the first demolition order with all I got and lost. I tried to reason w/ the building dept, contacted the Department of Energy by mail and spoke with the State's Building Commissioner and HERS rater.
All effort was futile, found out the insurance cos were willing to shell out full policy limits and that is where it went.
