After I read that Q post I went to Walmart, bought a one burner stove, bought dried foods, bag of freeze dried veggies, and 12 cans of fuel. We’ll get by without leaving the house for a couple months if need be. I think most anons have prepared already

I just stocked up on batteries and extra flashlights for all over

I did that, hopefully the batteries are still good

Something going on with batteries lately! Bought two new high power Duracell 9V for the smoke alarm, both soon went to 6.7V.

Bought a new smoke alarm and 3 Energizer batteries. Tested them first, had to buy a new tester. Measured 9.7V, put one in alarm, it soon failed down to 8V. They normally last years, don't know which is at fault but it's costing a lot to find out! Might just do without a smoke alarm, managed once without them.

Have rechargeable batteries for the torch, that is if we have power. Also have some candles and matches. And an open fire to cook on if needed, bought a frypan to suit. And a toasting fork. Well stocked up on loo paper. 😅
