"But no one can enter into the house of the strong man, and spoil his goods, except he first BIND the strong man; and THEN HE WILL SPOIL HIS HOUSE." Mark 3:27 ASV
In the New Testament, "BIND" is a LEGAL TERM. It refers to that which is LEGALLY BINDING in a court of law, to bring a LEGALLY BINDING matter before God with respect to His spiritual laws, BINDING the offender and LOOSING the repentant. It also means to bind with chains.
What Jesus was saying is that no one can enter into Satan's kingdom, tie him up and take his goods, unless he first has BINDING LEGAL AUTHORITY to do so.
"Whatsoever you BIND ON EARTH shall be BOUND IN HEAVEN: and whatsoever you LOOSE on earth shall be LOOSED IN HEAVEN." Matthew 16:19
