Head-scratching stuff! It's all down to inertia and momentum.

Then comes the problem of, how do you overcome inertia to produce momentum? I imagine an object such as a car will travel the same as us, with the spin of the earth. To make it move requires momentum.

The issue is the earth is flat not round

And its not spinning the sun and move revolve around us on a flat plane
