This reminds me of when we were kids and we used to jump off the bridge in our community into the river.
When my mom found out she laid into my brother and I.
In her rant she says to us “How do you know there is nothing below the surface that could hurt you?”. My brother being a smart ass pipes up “Mom, we always let someone else jump first.”
I can still see the look on her face from that comment.
