had to deal with a young unsupervised teen causing issues today
mother tried to tell me that he broke rules but she made all kinds of excuses why she thought it was OK
he smirked about it
she said she does not want him to feel uncomfortable, but she won't acknowledge forcing me or other neighbors to be upset with his vandalism (could have been $6000 repair)
all I could think of was that next time he breaks the rules, it will be with the police, not us, and they won't listen to excuses of how he is just another "goot" boy
generational difference: I would have made my kids apologize for causing a problem, but parents nowadays never think their kids is a problem, especially when they are somewhere kids are not allowed without an adult, but she let her kid go unsupervised.
next time the overpriced $6000 bill will get sent to their house by an attorney instead of a volunteer fixing it for parts to be nice

I woke up today and am still disgusted.
TY for your support.
I gave them something to think about, for sure.
But I should have told the mom that her son was making neighbors uncomfortable with his vandalism, cuz she did not want him to be "uncomfortable"
I wanted to ask what he does to his teachers at school when he does not want to follow rules.
And if someone had called the police yesterday, she and he would not have been speaking to me, but to an officer.
