I became a minimalist about 5 years ago when I moved from Houston. There was a point in my life where I lived in a very large house by the beach in Los Angeles and had 3 storage units on top of that. 2 in Los Angeles and 1 in Idaho. All that money spent on storage units for over 20 years and it just sat there. Getting rid of everything was a tremendous burden lifted off me physically, psychologically and spiritually. I have what I need now and I don't need much. It's not for everyone but for those that are thinking about it, I highly recommend starting down that minimalist path.
