Oh my gosh, the turkey hunting incident! 😆🦃

I couldn't do it either!
Went dove hunting as a teenager with my "country boy" boyfriend. Dove flew over, he rased his gun, pulled the trigger, and down it came. When he picked it up it's little head fell over, and I just stood there and cried 😭.

Nana totally understands I would have a hard time killing anything too, but I was raised on a farm.
And if you were hungry and didn't know where your next meal would come from it would make it easier I think.

I used to help my Dan and Pa kill hogs, beefs, chickens, goats. and such.
The killing part I avoided, but I can do the rest.

I do believe that if you are gonna hunt, it should be something that is eaten and not wasted.

Agreed; it should never be done for sport and wasted. Never understood the desire for taxidermied dead animals hanging on the wall 😬😬

I guess it is a particularly acquired man thing. I guess Nana ruined my son on it when he was little. He loved fishing I think as much as any human ever born has but never hunted.

I bought him a BB gun when he was little. All little boys wanted them, something to shoot with. The first day he used it he came running in the house with a dead blue bird crying his eyes out cause he didn't really think shooting it would kill it. He never shot another animal that I know of. I don't think he ever used the BB gun again either.

He wasn't against guns as he got older but he never hunted animals again.
