The word, quicksilver came to mind. Old world word for same is "cwicseolfor."

"The Old English word for mercury was cwicseolfor, a combination of cwic, meaning "alive" or "moving," and seolfor, meaning "silver." The Modern English quicksilver comes from the Old English cwicseolfor."
