I despise pain killers after surgery, they make me so sick. I never had any withdrawals and I went through 5 major surgeries within 10 months. Everyone is different.
VK: Currently just dealing with it. Usually more pain after surgery and that's when will really need the pain killers.
After a couple of weeks on the painkillers going to have to go thru withdrawal. Shrooms takes care of those withdrawal symptoms from stopping the painkillers. Fun times ahead.

My experience dealing with pain. I put off having a hip replacement for about 10 years with alt methods. When is became necessary at the bone-on-bone stage I finally had the surgery. No big deal really but the pain came back. Tried all kinds of things.
At some point I began to feel, think that my body was stuck in pain mode and that is what I needed to work on. Not long after that feeling I was shown a sign that was from a chiropractor. It was about neuro adjustments. These are very different than regular chiro adjustments.
It worked. I stopped being in pain. We worked at the neurological level. This may help some of you.

I've had 1 major surgery, and one not so serious. The first one was open heart surgery to replace a valve w/ a mechanical valve. The second was knee replacement surgery.

I've had three major surgeries in my life. My left eye was operated on August 1999 due to a detached retina with a tilted disc. My appendix was removed March 2002 as it was becoming septic. My left foot was operated on back in 2021 because I had a freak accident that dislocated the midfoot joint. In those time frames, I never once took pain meds and the doctors are still baffled why my pain tolerance is so high

My husband also has a lens in his right eye from an accident when he was younger. He then had to undergo lens surgery again due to a scratch on the lens. How painful that was for him, and you as well I'm sure!
