Are we heading into a world where the masses get some nice text messages and videos announcing a new economic system and war crimes, but things essentially transfer smoothly over? Or some mega disruption of bioweapons, collapse, and destruction with maybe a bit of cataclysm to spice things up? Who knows! Somehow we have to plough on day by day. Decisions have to be made based on assumptions of how much continuity of society's services lie ahead. Those may be wildly wrong, but doing nothing and just waiting isn't really an option.
