Mama has always said, "folks got wormed, every six months, with castor oil, young to old, rich to poor, regardless of color, or money" etc. Said "I don't know why they stopped doing that." Said that decades ago....

So castor oil is highly toxic, which is why it kills intestinal parasites and the body 'dumps it' through almost explosive diarrhea and bowel movements.
I'm not saying it doesn't work. It does.
But they didn't start using castor oil until the late 1700's into the early 1800's because it just wasn't available. And then it phased out within 100-130 years or so in the 1930's.
This is similar to giving every baby born Vit K shots - that started around the 1950s. Babies born to hemophilic parents were given Vit K shots in case the baby had hemophilia. Then EVERY parent started demanding that shot in case their baby needed it - and by the 1960's every baby was required to get the shot (big pharma setting up business).
Vit K is not needed, but the trend continues - many parents are realizing how toxic that shot is and stopping them. Castor oil was the same. Not everyone needed it for parasites and it faded out of use.
It was a trend, lots of things are trends...

My mama is in her seventies, and they used it, growing up. And my great grandma etc before that gen...Maybe phased out some places, def not all places. Old south still uses it.

Also I had no explosive bm's etc. Just cleans you out. I suspect that folks that are ate up with parasites would have more extreme results.

Well my kin have used it for gens, and it works great. Vit K I have no info on. If you look at the health benefits of castor oil, it will blow your mind.
