I've been doing that for many, many years. It does work well (the bees, etc, see the bag, think a predator bee has moved into their area and they move elsewhere lol) I've even had it work with hornets nests, stick a bag up close by and by the next evening they've moved on. I keep one tucked in a bush by the back deck, no more wood-borer bees! It's a dirt cheap, effective, non-chemical way of removing a bee problem!

So smart, Joyce. I had never heard of this before. Brilliant!

It works extremely well, been doing it at least 20 years now. I use a brown paper lunch sack, stuffed with crumpled paper, tied off at top, and crunch it football shaped. Then tack it up where they usually build (like by the eaves). I keep one in my outside dog pen, as every year those ground bees want to build. Never a problem anymore : ) Have a great weekend!
