There were varying degrees in disruption of communication: land lines, internet, electricity, tv. No way to find out what was happening.
This tin foil hat is getting tighter. I need to say this.
In the early hours of the storm in Lahaina communications were down. Schools had been closed for the day because of power outages. Could some of the children been taken to safety (kidnapped) under guise of authority figures? Before the firestorm hit?
The other possibility, even worse, is that if Lahaina was attacked with DEW Direct Energy Weapons, all the people missing were killed by this attack.
