You would have to be evil or asleep to think it's ok we allow awake patriots to die suffering because people are asleep.

Only fire marshal Bill will tell you not to wake the kids up from a deep slumber while the house is on fire because they will be disoriented. And the awake kids can't be rescued either because we have to go out together.
All narratives is for records and to catch minions(operation). These events(however annoying and painful) must register in society psyche to future proof this from happening again.
