Hello, I am calling for any Texans out there to please call/email Texas House elections committee. This is in reference to proposed HB 33 -
HB 33 will allow online voter registration. This is an inordinately bad idea. Under the current processes we can’t keep voter rolls from being bloated with unqualified, unverified voter entries. The risk of manipulation at scale and speed will make it impossible to keep voter rolls current and accurate. Couple this with mail ballots and lack of strong identity verification at poll locations, this makes voting easier to cheat, hard to discover. With current citizenry’s lack of trust in TX elections, this will make matters worse. This needs to be nipped in the bud. We cannot have this slip through into law during special session.
