I'm old enough to remember watching
The Swamp Fox which was also a television miniseries produced by Walt Disney Studios and starring Leslie Nielsen as American Revolutionary War hero Francis Marion. This show ran from 1959-1961 and was filmed on the back lot of Disney Studios in Burbank Ca. that was very "swampy" at that time but is the Ventura Freeway today. We used to go swimming there and swing from tires tied up in trees when I was a kid.
