Make Me your focal point as you move through this day. Just as a spinning ballerina must keep returning her eyes to a given point to maintain her balance, so you must keep returning your focus to Me. Circumstances are in flux, and the world seems to be whirling around you. The only way to keep your balance is to fix your eyes on Me, the One who never changes. If you gaze too long at your circumstances, you will become dizzy and confused. Look to Me, refreshing yourself in My Presence, and your steps will be steady and sure.

MAKE ME YOUR PRIMARY FOCUS. I AM ALL around you--constantly aware of you. I take note of all your thoughts and prayers. Many, many things vie for your attention, but do not let them crowd Me out. Directing your mind toward Me requires very little energy and is imperceptible to others. Yet the more often you do this, the more fully I can live in you and through you.

Pastor Philip Anthony Mitchell got some people mad for saying that parents should teach their children to respect the cops to avoid tragic outcomes. He questioned whether ego is worth losing a life and stressed the importance of teaching compliance to ensure safety. While acknowledging bad cops exists and innocent lives lost, he stressed that ego and disrespect often escalate situations, costing lives.

Man says Mitchell’s message aims to save lives and he agrees with it.: “Accountability is the biggest problem in a black community…”
