Racist, no. Ridiculous, yes. I've worked in the medical field for decades & I've never agreed with the BMI chart. It is so far skewed. According to the BMI chart, my hubby should not weigh more than 175. He played football for 10 years & his nickname on the field was 'Tank'. At his most physically fit times during the season, he was never less than 225 (big dude). If he ever got down to 175, he would be a very sickly man. It can not be a one size fits all chart.
