What did you listen to?

I didn't listen, I recorded!! I'm alive because God heard my prayers and has plans for me for this time! It's why I'm here too. But I recorded music which I created using tools God gave me and I grew strong with a purpose to live! THEN God sent me a ferral kitty who Loved me...and I took care of her...which was also very healing and gave me even more purpose and appreciation for Life! But music healed me when I was sick, in pain, and very weak. I stood up, strapped on my guitar...and played/recorded myself back to Life! God is Good and Jesus saves!!! Music heals.
I AM Living proof! I have lil time to listen to musical creations of others...and lack interest in hearing more. I listen to my songs to inspire me to make more. Desire to Live is crucial to healing regardless of anything else. I always knew if I ever created a catologue of music I would listen exclusively to it...I now have 750 songs both classic songs (500) and original music (250).

That is awesome Victor! The repetitive pop songs of my day were so compelling and they infected my mind so there was no escaping them. Had a chance to travel to other countries for six months and didn’t hear American music. My mind was finally free to think and feel without that music. I still have to be careful not to be caught up in a song or it will play on loop in my mind. Your approach is a way to keep music without the hypnotic mind control. Brilliant man!

Cool perspective Avenue!! I can see ur point, but hadn't consciously determined to do that.
I create because I AM!...I record, because I can. 🤭 It was the will to Live that got me up and strapped into my guitar when I struggled to do EVERYTHING else...I had to learn, remember, practice, and record every song u till I hit my limit of energy and time. Over a course of two or three days and two hrs MAX per day...till my fingers hurt from lack of callouses. I would need two or 3 days to recover before playing again. Every song went like that. Its why I sometimes had to mix whatever I had before I perfected them.
Music heals, that I know for certain. Thanks for responding Avenue Patriot...U rock!! Btw...I stopped listening to other music long ago...musicians play and create music more than listen....at least it I do. 🎵🌴🤍

U rock Ave my friend!!...if I may call u Ave, with all due respect! 👊😎, ur lifting my spirit with every word!! Maybe I'm just a sucker for compliments...flattery is quite a force to reckon with! 🤭 But seriously I only did what I do...im a guitarist, and father...beyond that I'm just Patriot Vic! I'm not certain without music I would have survived even before getting sick. But even more than recording, and playing music...im a performer at heart. I learned that in 6th grade before learning guitar, my 4th instrument at 14. Piccolo, violin, drums, guitar, piano...in that order. But when the songs ended and the roof was blown off the building from our parents applause...I knew: THATS the life for me! At 19 I played in my first band in front of people...man, THAT was scarier than I remembered when it was just our parents!! 😳 But fortunately humans are unique in how we respond to other humans who entertain us. We give Love! THATS my jam!🎵🤍

Makes sense to me! I can assure u...music is directly from ur soul. It's inexplicable to me how soo many different styles of music, if catagorizable at all, my original music entails. On any given day a song was created without any conscious effort to be different from another. All my original songs were finished in one 3hr session with my music partner Debra. We never went back to work on them cuz everyday I was in different energy, with new ideas...which would come as we tuned up, burned some bud, and chatted for 30 mins...and we always started and finished in one morning. Even that amazes me.
I was still sick and fighting for my Life and Right to party with u guys. Survival is instinctual, but u gotta fight for it! All my music links are on my profile...😎🎵🌴🤍
