It is crucial to learn about our internal self, our God given soul and spirit because our true life lies therein. The Infinite Lord provides every moment of that life, so we are vessels and recipients. There is One Infinite with no beginning and no end. We are immortal eternal beings that receive every moment from the Infinite Lord. We are not infinite, we have a beginning, the Infinite Lord has no beginning and no end. There can be but one Infinite, one Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscient Lord ruling all. He is within us, our internals and interiors. If we claim to be infinite we commit spiritual theft.
