Does foul language really make you more intelligent or does it make you more open to dark, hateful, unclean, vicious, spirits?
[Ephesians 4:29] [Proverbs 10:32]
Your words matter.
The Bible is clear about sin and the power of words. Sin is anything we do that separates us from God. Therefore, the way we use language can be sinful. The Bible makes it clear that we should guard what comes out of our mouths. While the Bible does not specify today’s four-letter words, it does take a strong stance against words that are offensive or vulgar. Additionally, the Bible tells us to avoid words that may insult others or are used to gossip. So, even if you are not using swear words, you can still be using words that bring pain. We can even manipulate seemingly innocent words and use them maliciously, which is just as bad.

Actually it very much is,
even a little sin is still a sin.
[James 3:9-12]
We cannot praise God while at the same time cursing our brothers and sisters. Jesus explained that what comes out of our mouths is that which fills our hearts. Sooner or later, the evil in the heart comes out through the mouth in curses and swearing. But when our hearts are filled with the goodness of God, praise for Him and love for others will pour forth. Our speech will always indicate what is in our hearts.

Remember the saying when we were kids-Sticks and Stones may break my Bones, but Names will never hurt me…..swearing is just a word or two, it doesn’t physically hurt anyone…..ya some words don’t sound to pleasant, but I believe it’s ok to swear in certain situations

When the heart changes the behavior follows too. Fruits of the spirit. Verbal abuse does indeed hurt unfortunately it leaves no visible wounds.

You did the exact opposite of what the point of that screenshot makes. "Become vulnerable with others." I didn't cut you off or tell you stop for visiting my post and making your comment, I engaged you, the only reason you want me to stop now is because I'm showing you something new that challenges what you know and that can be uncomfortable. A little discomfort is good, the mind doesn't grow in the comfort zone. Look I'm not sharing biblical wisdom with you to upset you, it's to warn you and strengthen you, to build you up stronger in your faith so that you're not caught off guard by somone who challenges YOUR knowledge. What I share is to fortify not weaken.

[Proverbs 27:17]
Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

I keep your blade sharp by sharing with you, likewise you keep mine sharp by challenging my knowledge. Win-win bc we're on the same team. This was a friendly sparring match to work on our mind and stay battle ready! πŸ’ͺ😎πŸ”₯
