People say that we need government because people will otherwise commit evil.
This is faulty.
The root cause of evil is that people have to have power to commit evil either through money, politics, hierachy, social status, etc. Or the power of victimhood.
Fixing this problem with government does the opposite.
Power is the root of all evil. Fixing a problem caused by power and authority by increasing the instances of power and authority is pouring gasoline on a fire.
