A Sumerian statue from the city of Uruk, which existed as early as 3000 B.C., is now preserved in the Pergamon Museum in Germany. The unique statue, highly unusual, depicts a man inside a sphere with a broken beam.

And to the right are the flying machines in the frescoes of the monastery of Vysokie Dečani in Serbia (1350).

The interesting resemblance is complemented by a time gap - where are the Sumerians and where are the medieval Serbs? Did someone borrow the idea, or did the nations capture what they saw?
