Why do they all look alike? Are they trapped in a hell cycle?
Imagine if you can, a world where the top celebs sign away their likeness, voice, dna, personality for a billion years, spanning the universe (that last part is actually in their contract.)
You own this property, but you'll only get a good 20 years from your actor/sportsman/singer.
They own the image forever, so they could just wheel out a "replacement", call him or her the "hot new thing" and voila, return on investment, FOREVER.
Trapped in a souless hell cycle, sold out forever by the original, knowing little about what they have just sacrificed. Like a bad sci-fi plot.
How sci-fi is it really?
