Do a quick Bible search for use of the term “the wicked”.
Throughout the Bible, you will see the people of God have ALWAYS been in a WAR against “the wicked”. Extreme Evil. Those who abuse and sacrifice children to their Master the Devil. The Book of Revelation finally brings destruction of the wicked.
The “church ladies” taught us the Bible is all about peace and love. It’s about WAR: you were born into a BATTLEFIELD between Good and EVIL.

To more accurately put it, the Bible is about peace and love but it is also about war as well and as you pointed out, that age-long war between good and evil; God and Satan. Unfortunately, far too many preachers preach only about the peace and love and almost never about the warfare part of the Christian faith.
