You can't put a time constraint. When we had to put our Jack Russell Terrier down in October of 2021, we told people asking when we would get another that when the right dog comes along, he'll pick us. Sometimes it's immediate (my Malamute showed up within a month of my Samoyed passing), or sometimes it's years (the JRT didn't find us for many years after our shepherd passed). That one was tough as I hated being dogless for so long. My current furbaby showed up about 7 months after (May 2022).

This was when I first saw Badger and knew he was the one. Became available for adoption at end of May.
