It makes sense from an optics standpoint
He would be front and center cleaning it all up, he only had so much power as President in many ways.
He could get a fuck ton done as Speaker.
This would sway alot of support from both sides of normies who are totally clueless to reality.
Its makes no sense if hes still Commander in Chief, which to me screams "this is all fake as fuck, and normies need a false pretense to go along."
