Call likely ultimately worked it's way down from the Vatican. Kennedy was America's first Catholic president which was a HUGE thing at that time. America being primarily a 'Protestant' country many feared his loyalty would be to the Pope whereas he famously publicly assured the American people his would be to America and the US Constitution.
Which manner he went on to conduct himself. Not a good thing when you were raised, groomed and 'meant' to follow orders from Papa.
It's the Papacy, afterall, that actually created and runs all the 'secret societies' that JFK famously 'outed' and warned about.

Interesting aside to the picture of our presidents at JP1 funeral below; it's thought by many Bible prophesy scholars that America is Rev13's
2nd beast .. the one that 'makes the image to the first beast' which when we look closely at all the symbolism built into the architecture of DC, not to mention it's deep Jesuit history and mirror 'image' of the Dome, obelisk, and pentagon present in both cities the truth, or distinct possibility, of that interpretation becomes pretty convincing ... along w/ the other elements of scriptural evidence as well.

I know ... it's so easy ... they've hidden in plain sight so well for so long.
Just taken for granted.
This line from Revelation is so relevant.
"And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast" Rev13:3
When Napoleon's general Berthier marched into the Vatican and arrested Pope Pius VI in 1798 it was according to many Bible scholars the direct fulfillment of the 'time, times, and half a time' (3 1/2 year; 42 months; 1260 days) time prophesy referenced in the book of Daniel and Revelation.
Rev13:3's wounding of one of the beasts heads is in this vein considered a reference to this historical event as well which removed the Vatican's *state* power that was however eventually restored (healed) in 1929 by Mussolini. The San Francisco Chronical at the time actually referenced the 'healing of the wound' in it's coverage of the event.

Nothing, imo, so singularly graphically captures the beast's 'healed wound' and the next statement that 'all the world wondered after the beast' as the funeral of Pope JohnPaul which btw was the first Papal funeral attended by *any* American officials but in this case attended by Both Bush's, Clinton, and Rice (the sitting SOS) all in one fell swoop.
Not to mention dignitaries from 'all the world'. Be sure to scroll ALL the way down ... it's a long list!
