My dad (who cant speak and has difficulty understanding from a previous stroke 5 years ago) is in a local PA hospital for covid. Infectious disease doctor administrred remedesivir this morning without any consent. Never called me his daughter and POA. I was told my consent nor my dad’s was needed. cancelled the remdesevir and asked for ivermectin and with a sharp reply they said “we don’t do that here!” I asked for IV vit. c and d and they said we can only dispence pharmaceutical. dad’s 79, no fever and xray (yesterday) shows lungs are clear.
Today, they said some crackling in his breathing. What shoud / can I to increase dad’s chances of getting better?
