Scouts were more a man than most men today..we were bomb
experts for a week during the 4th, in the midwest we had fireworks that would level a house or flatten your face, we would build
and race anything--with or without engines, no safety gear at all..
We definitely had our own justice system and neighborhood watch...
kids and adults knew something would be coming their way if
they F'd around, this was before the softies invented their version recently.. we were in caves or in rivers and in great danger and
then home at dark for feeding time. Yes we are different and not
afraid, want to find out?

Today is my 60th birthday and the unspoken rules (after they were explained in detail one time to all us kids) they've never been forgotten. You knew you had to be home before those street lights were on. When you saw them start to blink, you rode like the wind, sometimes with your arms straight out, peddling only (cause we were just that good) but boy did we peddle!

You'd coast up that driveway, jump off and say "I'm home! I made it in the yard before the lights were full on!" (Panting, out of breath, then jumping those 3 front concrete steps into the front door or through garage. My mother was always home, big dinner at 5, then you got to go back out to one more time!

Sunday morning TV was Audie Murphy/Cowboy movies, wrestling, or Ultra Man/Speed Racer and guess what? YOU WATCHED THEM AND LOVED THEM, NO BITCHING! It was what it was! I loved it!

Thank you! It began once again, with my almost 40 yr old daughter telling me she hated my guts (to my face) not once, but 3 times! 😲She lives in the land of false eyelashes and hair extensions, she' a hairdresser whose "drama-filled-salon" is always an excuse to "Mom, just let Trey-Olivia spend the night, I'm here till 9 or so, I'll be there early to get her for school". Since day one, I've watched her every single day, for free. Then the narcissistic side of her fills with complete jealousy of the "just take me to Grandma's" that is just reactive to the fact she is always with me.

Then, you have her "My mom the batshit crazy my whole life conspiracy nut" 😜side, that she KNOWS I'm right on! Oh my daughter - I'm her worst nightmare!😏 (Yet oddly, the first person she calls for everything and especially when her clients begin to talk "conspiracy" - she's like "Wait! Oh, my mom, she knows ALL ABOUT THIS STUFF! You've got to talk to my mom!")
