Name orginally inspired by Temple of Solomon (which is a its own rabbit hole of mystic help by neighboring architects and King Solomon’s fall to worship false gods) - but the intersection of all these groups is key: King Solomon/Kabbalah/Knights Templar/Jesuits/Freemasons. Anyway, KT not only worked to guard pilgrims to Jerusalem, but in the background they were building a banking system and storing money in the temples to/from London, Paris through Vienna, Sofia, onwards to Jerusalem so travelers wouldn’t have to carry money on the journey but deposit and withdrawl at temple stops as needed. Last Grand Master was Jacques de Molay.
