Mary Gessler @MaryG
There are two accounts of Creation in the Bible. In Genesis 2, God fashioned Eve from Adam’s rib as a separate being to be his companion.

Genesis 2
…but for the man there was not found a helper fit for him. 21 So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh; 22 and the rib which the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man.

Genesis 1
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.”

I don’t know what changes [they] made to the Bible — what I do know, is that God, as Creator, made the rules, and no one but Him can change them.
