Exactly! Forgiveness is for your healing not for them. A hard lesson to learn but so basic and simple to live with. I am an empath and trust me when I say for me it was absolutely essential for me to keep going.
Unconditional love and forgiveness is the ONLY way for me. I am not a fool.
