Turmeric is easy to grow. Buy a chunk of the root. Put in ground with partial sun. It's a form of ginger with broad green leaves. Leaves die off but plant is not dead, roots develop and can be harvested regularly. Leaves regrow periodically, roots continue to develop. A beautiful white flower appears in the leaves then dies off. Put in blender to juice, add to drinks. They say to add black pepper to activate its properties.

I put tumeric in almost every meal I cook.
I lake 1l water, 1 lemon cut in 4 pieces, tumeric raw or powder, some ginseng power a a very few black pepper. I drink this all day long, it's an excellent drink for your health.
