Agreed. Even common sense with zero research can prove Covid isn't going to cause the fear they need.
What distraction will be used next? We see food shortages, but right now its not a large enough scale scare event, so FF incoming??

I find it interesting our shelves have been stocked fine the last few months (Australia) BUT the last 3 weeks there is a sudden supply shortage and shelves are looking bare again.

Its Fall for me, so I'm currently canning my garden. Keep up that Victory garden, good for you! I'm seed saving as much as I can as well.

I have been buying seed (especially rare and heirloom as well as medicinal plants and herbs Ive not grown before) and saving seed as much as possible, going to try and grow a tonne of zucchini this season after reading about dehydrating it and turning it in to flour.

I've been looking up medicinal purposes of everything I grow this year as well! Great minds ;)
Zucchini flour? I'm going to have to look that one up. I've never done that, but its a great idea when zucchini grows so easily. Except for me this year. 1st time I've ever had squash bugs & I lost battle. I'm also focusing on drying & grinding extra greens. I buy powdered greens why don't I just make my own. I never use the greens from so many edible plants! I do now.

Living rural the price of everything has gone up so much when it is already higher than the city.

Ive never made zucchini flour but sounds like it can be usefyl in many recipes and it is another way to store it for winter along with dehydrating slices.

Sorry to hear you had squash bugs, so frustrating when the pests take over, my brocc and cauliflower are going to seed so the aphids have arrived in droves and I was spraying with eco oil until the ladybugs arrived now they are multiplying in numbers I am hoping the aphid numbers will die down.

We are also making use of the whole plants, from carrot tops to brocc and cauli leaves as well as eating heaps of 'weeds' too.
