I often have small children and elderly smiling, chatting, or looking my way. Which I love! But once I had an intoxicated person in front of me in line...and I have no idea to this day what triggered her....she was sweet to the checker...but would turn and HISS and snarl and mutter at me in the most evil fashion. It kind of freaked me out...and I just prayed the entire time. Then she'd turn and be nice again to the checker. This happened a few times while she was being checked out. Very weird. What's that saying? The light in you irritates the demons in them? Or something to that affect? Anyway...it was creepy.
