I Will Sanctify My Great Name

Ezekiel 36:23 says, “‘And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord,’ says the Lord God, ‘when I am hallowed in you before their eyes.’” God will do something in and through you to bring His name to reputation. It's not because of anything that you've done. It's despite your struggles, failures, weakness, and age. God will use you no matter what your life looks like right now. When someone else cries out to God, His favor will come upon you. God is not asking you for faith to procure favor. He's asking you for faith to believe that His favor has already come. He asks you to His promise today.

He Knows What Lies Ahead

We are going against the direction of this world and marching towards the Kingdom of God. In our hearts, we carry a song of victory, and in our steps, we have the strength that comes from God alone. We acknowledge that He will be there for us, providing the strength to keep our hearts, minds, and families secure. As we reach the end of our days, as I'm about to do, let this be our prayer surrounded by our loved ones. May we have a shout of joy in our hearts. Let us encourage one another to serve, walk, and live for God. Let’s assure them that He will never fail. We refuse to have any “if only” regrets in our lives. Instead, we trust in God's provision for every need, every day—even those we can't foresee. Let us approach Him now, seeking His guidance and assurance, knowing He knows what lies ahead and what we need.

I Had a Sheep Farm

Pastor Teresa and I had a sheep farm for several years where we cared for 68 female sheep, a couple of rams, and countless lambs. The experience taught me valuable lessons about shepherding God's people. The Lord has a special place in His heart for shepherds, but throughout history, some have misused their positions, leading to spiritual decline for many. Shepherds must align their motives with God's intentions and lead the people of God with integrity. God finds joy in transforming what we sing about, like the song, I Shall Recover It All. It's not just what we sing on Sundays; He transforms our lives into that reality. God takes delight in bringing us back to Him to restore us and filling our hearts with a new song that inspires others to also turn to Him. The joy of God extends to granting us the spoils of victory through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. It gives us a renewed mind, heart, spirit, and future. God's joy is present even at the end of our journey. He ensures that we'll always have a song in our hearts that cannot be taken away by anything in this world. Someone today needs this joy. Let's embrace it now! Talk to God about it.

Ask Him To Prepare You

In the year 2001, before the towers were attacked on 9/11, we received a warning from the Lord at Times Square Church in New York City about an impending crisis. We decided to cancel our events and start preparing ourselves—we met every night. I vividly remember standing in the pulpit and urging our congregation to gather strength and to align ourselves with God. We knew that a day would come when people would be filled with fear and running through the streets, and our mission was to be prepared to minister to them rather than being found among the fearful. When 9/11 eventually unfolded, we were fully prepared to assist because we had asked for God's guidance in advance. We had asked Him to reveal what we would require in the future. I'm not suggesting every situation will be a crisis, but God already knows what you need in the future. Ask Him now to prepare you.

The Floods May Beat Against Us

Psalm 46:2–4 says, “Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.” The psalmist saw a calamity coming on the earth, but he saw a life source amid the shaking. We see many losing heart today, and we might even be inclined to do the same. The true child of God will have a river of gladness in their heart that is inexplicable apart from God's presence and provision. Yes, the floods may beat against us, but let us keep an eternal perspective. Let us stand unmoved with God Himself being our supply.

Wisdom Alone Cannot Sustain Us

King Solomon's request for wisdom was reasonable, but he lacked the heart to obey. In Proverbs, he gave wise instructions to all but failed to follow them himself. He outlined his downfall with his hand. Wisdom alone cannot sustain us; we need a heart willing to obey. We can act by asking God for wisdom and a heart to follow His guidance. Pray for a heart that loves and obeys God. Ask for your heart to seek His will in all things and remain devoted to Him alone. May we refrain from resting on our past achievements or going forward to pursue empty things. Let's continually grow in our love and devotion to God. We should ask for wisdom, but we should also pay attention to the importance of a heart that is ready to obey. Ask Him today.

Take The Little Bit You Have

In 2 Kings 4, a woman who had lost all hope was left with only a little oil. When a servant of God came to her, he instructed her to pour the oil into empty vessels. Despite her desperation, she took a step of faith and started pouring out the little she had, and something amazing happened. The scripture was fulfilled. Take the little bit you have and start pouring it out into others. Pour into your neighbors; pour into those who have nothing. Instead of focusing on what you don't have, become a source of provision for others. Watch as God begins to work in your life in a way you never thought possible and blesses you abundantly. Let Go

They had various expectations, but Jesus instead urged them to trust God's plan alone. Our ideas and aspirations can sometimes crumble in our lives. That’s when we need to take action by surrendering our plans and aligning ourselves with God's purpose. This choice requires a willingness to let go of our understanding and embrace the greater plan that God has in store for each of us. We can find strength, hope, and guidance during these times of uncertainty and experience the transformative power of God's perfect will unfolding in each of our lives. Say to God today, “Lord, it's simple, not my will, but yours.”

A Never Ending Change

The beauty of God's Kingdom is that we start where we start, and every day, God's presence and changes start increasing in our lives. God promises that the glory of our latter end will be greater than the former. There's an ever-increasing glory in the hearts and lives of those who belong to Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us that as we behold Him, the totality of the victory that He won for us, we are changed from image to image and glory to glory, all by the Spirit of God. If we choose to walk in God's way, there will be never-ending changes in your life and mine. What an incredible journey this can be. If you've not made the choice yet, I encourage you to say, “I'm going to go with God. I'm going to go His way.”

The Wall Is Broken Down

Nehemiah 1:3–4 says, “‘The wall of Jerusalem is also broken down, and its gates are burned with fire.’ So it was, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for many days; I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven.” God is calling us to be holy and set apart and believe Him for miracles again. The things that used to set apart the people of God from the ways of this fallen world are eroding. Maybe there are lines in your life that have become blurred, and you feel like you can't be a voice for God because of your current choices. God wants to turn your mess into a message. If we humble ourselves, pray, and ask Him for forgiveness, He promises that old things have passed away and all things are new in Christ.

Let Us Stand Firm In Our Faith

Many of us experience attacks on our thoughts and emotions in these challenging times. However, we can find strength and protection in Christ. We have been equipped with spiritual armor to shield us from darkness attacks. We must put on the helmet of salvation, understanding who we are in Christ. When the enemy tries to remind us of our past, we can confidently remind him of his future, knowing that our sins have been washed away and we have a bright future in the presence of God. Let us hold fast to this truth. Let’s write it in our hearts and be prepared to share it with others. This Victory Extends To All

In Genesis 3, Satan's desire to be worshiped as God led him to tempt and deceive humanity. He sowed the seed of self-sufficiency and rebellion, convincing humans they could determine their future without God. God pronounced a curse on Satan, promising that a Savior would come from the seed of a woman to defeat him. This promise marked the first preaching of the gospel in the Bible. Satan would no longer have his grasp, humanity would be freed, and we would be brought back into a relationship with God. The promise began with Abraham, and a culture and a people were formed through his descendants. Ultimately, Jesus Christ, the Savior, was born into the world to overthrow Satan's ambitions. He crushed the Devil’s thoughts. This victory belongs to all of us born again in Jesus Christ.

Why Does Jesus Give Us Abundant Life?

John 10:10 says, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” Some of you know firsthand that the Devil is running unchecked, stealing, killing, and destroying. However, Jesus came to give us eternal life and an abundant life on Earth. Our Savior promises a full and inspired, divinely led, purposeful, God-honoring fruit-bearing life. On this side of eternity, we are called to allow God to work inside of us. Our testimony becomes, “I have to tell you what Jesus has done for me.” Jesus gives us abundant life to glorify God and to lead others to the knowledge of who He is. Hallelujah.

We Live In A Place of Victory

In Romans 8:18, Paul says, “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” You might be suffering a little bit or maybe a whole lot, but a million years from now, as a believer in Christ, you will be thankful you didn't give up your song or give up on God. The Lord places a song inside of us that the world can't take away; it's a hope in God. There's a day when we will be set free from the confines of this earth, this physical body, and we will be in the presence of the Lord forever. Our minds at this stage can't fully understand eternity with God. The Word of God cannot be bound, and the good news for you today is neither can the people of God. We live in a place of victory.

Fight Against Spiritual Wickedness

Ephesians 6:10–13 says, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Having done all to stand, Paul urges us to rely on God's power and wear His armor. We battle spiritual forces, not people. The powers of darkness influence earthly conflicts; we must fight against this spiritual wickedness. Speak for God's Kingdom that is powered by truth; even the least of us can make a difference. Talk to God about it today.

When Everything Else Is Gone

Come Near To Me

1 Kings 18:30 says, “Then Elijah said to all the people, ‘Come near to me.’ So all the people came near to him. And he repaired the altar of the Lord that was broken down.” The prophet Elijah called the people back to true worship when he said, “Come near me.” Jesus Christ invites our generation to do the same—one more time. All we have to do is look around and see how far we have fallen from God. If you're tired of the emptiness, powerlessness, worship that's leaving you bankrupt, and incivility in our society, the good news is that there is hope. A voice still rises above all human effort and says to you, “Come near to me.” It's the voice of God.

There Comes A Moment

When we surrendered our lives to Christ, we stepped into His divine purpose for each of us. Our purpose revolves around glorifying His name. God’s calling equips us to accomplish things beyond our capabilities. God’s nature is incredible, as is His work in our lives. Yet, there comes a moment when every one of us has to respond. I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” Despite false witnesses and threats of violence, David believed in God's goodness. He encourages us also to trust in His strength. Our last hope can be our best hope. God can provide a way out when we place it in God's hands, even in our darkest moments. Your Hope Is A Reality

Luke 4:17–18 says: “And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: ‘The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.’” Everyone has a hope in their heart that life will be better. You hope for the best for your family and children, that you might get out of trouble, a struggle, or despair. This day, Jesus said, this scripture is fulfilled for you if you believe it. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” Today, let these verses be fulfilled in your heart and your life. Your hope is indeed a reality in Jesus Christ. Remember my brother, my sister.
