If everyone knew that the military was in control of the country and there was a shadow government doing the bare necessities to keep the ship of state afloat, how would they react? With no new legislation being passed and the country at a standstill, would people become depressed? Filled with anxiety?
The best way to handle it would be to distract the populace with false politically charged events that would emotionally engage them while promoting a narrative that explains why the current situation was necessary. That way would educate the people and help pave the way for a smooth transition. I guess it DID have to be this way.
