A change in perspective so key in learning to forgive. Whenever I hear about people who do terrible things I think "there but for the grace of God go I". Because if I'd been desperate save a loved one or immature and naive or hungry or if I wasn't raised with a moral foundation and on and on; would I have have made any better decisions? And in the quicksand would i have had the courage to fight my way out at risk of death or would I have taken the gold and joined the team.
How hopeless that choice must have felt to many.
