Not everyone can rush out and buy gold and silver and crypto! we have worked our whole lives and are trying to retire but now what do we do? will the money we have saved for years just be gone with no recourse? There has got to be a fairer way than this.

We're not seeing an increase in inflation. We're seeing the socialist system called Democracy whittle the US dollar down to invisible. In another year or two I'd wager if you had a wheelbarrow filled with 20s it won't buy a gallon of milk.
You can print money like mad in a system of devaluation of money thru printing loads of fiat. But it tends to accumulate in your own country and then becomes confetti blowing down the gutters like we've seen happen so often with currencies. ALL fiat currencies had/have a 100% failure rate, end of story.
When the world stops using/taking/moving the US Dollar (seeing it happen right now!) the mad printing will backup and stockpile within our own borders and the dollar shows to be doing exactly that if you track it. Why do you think they send trillions like wild flinging it to the far corners of the earth? Why is it always a "pallet of cash" they send in shady deals? It thins it out here...
